Dara Rides for Hunger
Local philanthropist Dara Robinson is hosting his seventh annual hunger awareness ride this week. Robinson is inviting everyone to come out and give to a worthy cause. If you are not able to join in the ride, there are other ways you can contribute to the feeding programme.

“This Sunday we gather from five a.m., in front of Smart at two and a half miles on Philip Goldson Highway. Registration starts at five and the ride takes off sharp six-thirty. We lead off with police vehicle, ambulance and everything. We take off from there, Ladyville and take a t a left into the Boom, the pass way by Boom and we take a ten minute break at CDS gas station. We take off from there and take a left into the round-a-bout at Hattieville and we stop at eight miles again. The reason is that right there a lot of people join including kids. We leave from there and hit the boulevard and then back to Smart. We are asking a small fee of ten dollars for registration because that is how we raise the funds. We will be giving out wrist-bands and there will be young ladies at each stop to do the registration. For those who want to take part but don’t want to ride, the ladies will be at Smart from five in the morning until twelve midday and they can donate. They don’t have to give money but we ask them to bring food stuff, back to school supplies and anything that people and kids in need could use.”
