Anthony “Boots” Martinez Supports Michael Peyrefitte for Port Loyola

Michael Peyrefitte

Four-time area representative, Anthony ‘Boots’ Martinez will be retiring from electoral politics when his term comes to an end. Four persons have since decided to contest the U.D.P. convention in that division with the hopes of becoming the next area representative. Wanting to succeed Martinez are A.C. Shane Castillo, former Belize City Councilor Philip Willoughby, and Attorney General Michael Peyrefitte and former councilor Dean Samuels. For Minister Martinez, the choice is obvious. He is supporting Peyrefitte.

“To me I just believe that as the outgoing representative, four times winner, I Belize that I must try to make the best possible fit for the constituency. I think he is the best possible fit at this point in time. That does not mean that Philip is not going or anything but that is my choice.”
