Canadian Woman Stabbed by Hotel Room Intruder
A Canadian woman was stabbed four times on Sunday around four-thirty p.m. in San Pedro. According to police, Christina Pott was asleep inside a hotel room on the north end of Ambergris Caye when a man broke in through a window and attacked her while she slept. Assistant Superintendent Alejandro Cowo gave a brief on the incident.

“San Pedro Police responded to Mora Laguna Resort, which is located about a mile off San Pedro on the north side. Upon arrival they found forty-one-year-old Christina Adriana Pott, a Canadian national, with four apparent stab wounds to the body. She was taken to the San Pedro Polyclinic where she was admitted and she was just discharged this morning with injuries classified as grievous harm. What Police have gathered so far is that about four in the morning she was awaken by some noise coming out of her room and when she opened up her eyes she realized somebody was standing beside her. She struggled with the male person who at the time was armed with a knife and as a result she received the four stab wounds to the body.”
It has not been ascertained if the man took anything from the room.
