Prime Minister returns from Korea
Prime Minister Said Musa returned home today after a four-day official visit to South Korea. According to a government press release, the P.M. met President Kim Dae Jung at the Blue House, the president’s office in Seoul, to talk about a number of issues. These included financial support for Belize through Korea’s Economic Development Co-operation Fund and private sector investments in mining, manufacturing and food processing ventures. While the trip focussed on the business end of things, the P.M. and his delegation, which included Budget Minister Ralph Fonseca, enjoyed some World Cup action on Friday night, watching the South Korean national team play the Portuguese. South Korea continues to do well in the competition; today they advanced by beating the Italians two to one in overtime.
