Prominent Belizean John Woods Passes

On a somber note, prominent Belizean, seventy-five-year-old John Woods of Cisco Construction passed away on Friday in Houston, Texas, U.S.A.  Woods was not just an extraordinary businessman; he was a builder of Belize. Apart from operating a company known for its infrastructural expertise, Woods touched the lives of many at risk youths by employing them with the goal to draw them away from a criminal path. Known Rotarian and philanthropist, Woods also received recognition for his work at the Belize Central Prison through the Kolbe Foundation which purpose is to reform the prison system in Belize. Woods was battling cancer for quite some time.
