Will Spate of Armed Robberies Be Abated in September?

In recent months, there has been an escalation in the number of robberies across the country, particularly in Belize City, where thieves continue to prey on anyone, including the elderly.  Not only are they targeting a vulnerable population of society, but their modus has been stepped up to home invasions.  With September celebrations just around the corner, the spate of burglaries and robberies are expected to increase in the days ahead.  So what is the police department doing to stem this rash of incidents?
