Musa leaves for Washington
With the Guatemalan claim in short term suspended animation, Prime Minister Said Musa departed this afternoon for Washington D.C., where he will attend the sixteenth meeting of the Caribbean Group for Co-operation in Economic Development. The meeting, chaired by the World Bank, allows the eight member countries to explain their economic strategies to a forum of donor agencies and governments. The other members of the C.G.C.E.D. are Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic. Prime Minister Musa will be making his presentation tomorrow. He is accompanied by Minister of Budget Planning Ralph Fonseca. Minister of Health and Public Service, Jose Coye, will act as Prime Minister during Musa’s absence.
