Faculty member questioned in school rape
In crime news of a more serious nature, this afternoon police were seeking to question a suspect in the rape of a Belize City high school girl. The rape allegedly occurred on Thursday morning on the campus of Anglican Cathedral College. The female student, age fourteen, has told police that she was sexually assaulted by a male member of the faculty. The incident comes in the midst of final preparations for the school’s graduation ceremonies scheduled for tonight at Bird’s Isle.
