Faber points out that Shyne too was appointed as musical ambassador, but that he doesn’t work in his ministry.

“The musical ambassador is not an employee of NICH. The musical ambassador receives a stipend I believe from the Ministry of Finance via NICH and in fact has a small budget for his programmes via NICH.  But he is not an employee of NICH so I will not say that he is answerable to me in any way. He is paid or given that stipend I should say and then he has access to the budget that is allotted for his office, via NICH, and that is what it is.”
