Illegal Guatemalan loggers nabbed
Unlicensed guns have also been confiscated in the Toledo District… in this case shotguns from a gang of illegal Guatemalan loggers. The four men: Landelino Lopez, Jeremias Garcia, Edwin Palacio and Samuel Garcia, were intercepted by police and forest officers as they were cutting mahogany trees in Belize’s southernmost protected area, the Temash-Sarstoon National Park. The four men have been charged with illegal entry, illegal logging and keeping unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
