Guinea Grass Villager Crushed and Killed by Cement Mixer
Twenty one year old Guinea Grass villager, Jeffrey Hernandez, died a horrible and painful death on Monday night. Hernandez, a well-known football player in his home village, was working at AP Enterprise Cement Block factory on mile four of the George Price Highway when he was mangled by a cement mixer. News Five understands that at around ten o’clock on Monday night, Hernandez was cleaning the cement mixer when he fell inside the mixer where one of the blades sliced open his abdomen. An eyewitness told News Five that Hernandez was trapped for almost two hours. Footage too graphic to air shows Hernandez fighting for his life as the men tried to set him free. Eventually, Hernandez was detached from the machine, but the damage was so severe that he died while being rushed to the K.H.M.H. Police were not called out to the scene on Monday night. In fact, investigators visited the cement factory this morning after the media made inquiries. Hernandez’s family was too distraught to speak to the media and the factory owner was unavailable for comment. Details of the incident were shared minutes before news time.
