Sun Country Airlines to start flying to Belize
With the reported number of visitors on an upward trend, another airline is starting flights to Belize for a four-month period. Sun Country Airlines announced earlier today that it will be flying to Belize later this year. The flights originate from its hub in Minneapolis/Saint Paul to the Phillip Goldson International Airport, and will be on a weekly basis. The flights will be on Saturdays during the period December twenty-second to April twentieth, which is considered the high season for the tourism industry. According to the airline, Sun Country’s new nonstop flight to Belize marks its farthest reach in the Upper Midwest in the U.S. where persons can benefit from an easy access to a tropical Belizean vacation when winter comes. The B.T.B.’s Karen Bevans adds that the Belize Tourism Board is committed to enhancing and expanding tourism programmes that contribute to the momentum of the Belizean tourism industry. Sun Country also flies to Mexico and Costa Rica.
