Guatemalan softballers make early departure
It was supposed to be a triangular softball meet between Guatemala, El Salvador and Belize…but the threesome has now been reduced to a duo. Citing conflicts with work and schooling, the Guatemalan girls left for home today after losing all four of their games. The competition will continue, however, with Belize’s B.T.L. team facing off against El Salvador’s Marte Lotin on Thursday at six-thirty, Friday at eight-thirty and Saturday at five-thirty at Rogers Stadium. The Salvadorans have beaten Belize twice in their two outings.
