Man arrested for San Ignacio robbery
Also in the twin towns, San Ignacio police have arrested a suspect whom they believe beat and robbed a man early Monday morning. Around 2:00 a.m. twenty year old Richard Contreras allegedly approached thirty-six year old Mario Perez outside the Shining Star Bar in San Ignacio and hit him across the head with a bottle, leaving him unconscious. When Perez woke up it was minus sixty dollars in cash, his watch and tennis shoes. Contreras has been charged with theft, robbery, wounding and harm.
