Stabbed While Heading to the Bathroom; Daniel Sotz Recovering
Two persons were detained and then released following a stabbing incident in Camalote Village over the weekend. The victim Daniel Sotz was injured when he was attacked and stabbed multiple times. He was hospitalized and is in critical condition. According to his family, Sotz was injured by two men when he used the outdoor toilet at his yard in the village. Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvett explains.

“After ten p.m., police responded to the residence of Daniel Sotz in Camalote Village where he was found with multiple stab wounds. He was then transported to the Western Regional Hospital in a critical condition. He has since been stabilized and a statement has been recorded from him.”

“According to his account, he had reached home shortly after eight p.m. on the said night and sometime around ten p.m., he had exited his house to use the outside latrine where he was attacked by a dark complexion male person who inflicted the said injuries to him. He doesn’t have any suspect. I know that the police had two persons in custody who were interviewed and later released without charges; however, this investigation is still ongoing.”
