Will CitCo’s Sanitation Manager be Fired?
In a few weeks, Traffic Manager for Belize City, Kevaughn Jenkins will be transferred to the Sanitation Department. He will be the new manager of that department, taking over the post of longtime city council employee and a staunch supporter of the United Democratic Department, Percival Murillo. Belize City Mayor Bernard Wagner says Jenkins’ transfer is part of the council’s restructuring exercise. As for Murillo, we are told that the will be dismissed. The press asked the Mayor about it today.
Bernard Wagner, Belize City Mayor
“Mister Murillo has served the council well and he continues to serve the council. I am not away where we sit with him. We know that the restructuring is an ongoing process a fluid process and when we reach that bridge we will cross that bridge.”
