Son of UB President Remanded to Prison in the U.S. for Allegedly Attempting to Steal a Plane
Twenty-two-year-old Nishal Sankat, the son of the University of Belize President Clement Sankat, is being held in detention tonight in Orlando, Florida. Late last week, the young Sankat attempted to steal a commercial plane that was sitting at tarmac of the Orlando Melbourne International Airport. He was denied bail on Friday because he is considered a flight risk since he is the holder of Trinidadian and Canadian passports. Sankat, from what we’ve learnt, lives in Orlando. He was able to access the American Airline plane and was about to sit in the pilot’s seat when he was spotted. Here is a report from WOLF FOX 35:
