Police seek three in kidnap/shooting

In crime news, police are seeking three suspects in the shooting of a man in Ladyville. Twenty-seven year old Norman Bernard of Belize City told police that while working in Ladyville on Sunday he was threatened, kidnapped and finally shot in the leg before being tossed from the back of a pickup truck. Bernard has identified his assailants as Dennis Plunkett, Gary Sewell and Eric Pandy.

A security camera has helped police discover the identity of a robber who held up a gas station last night. Two men, armed with a handgun and shotgun jacked the Shell station at Mile two and a half on the Northern Highway as it closed around 9:00. Thanks to the video, one suspect has been detained, pending charges.
