Bz-Cuba Commission renews strong ties
In news from Belmopan, the joint co-operation commission between Belize and Cuba has finished its two days of meetings. An agreement was signed that will continue the close working relationship between the two countries in trade, tourism, culture, housing and health, with a memorandum of understanding concluded on sending low income patients to Cuba for free medical care. At present, there are one hundred and six Cuban doctors and nurses working in Belize and one hundred and seventeen Belizean students studying in Cuba.
