1 Man Charged for the Rape of a Woman

A twenty-year-old young woman of Saint Margaret Village, Cayo says that she was raped by two men, known to her husband on September fifteenth. According to the victim, the men visited their house around ten that night and raped her. Police say a Guatemalan national of Esperanza Village has since been charged and they are looking for another in connection with this sexual assault.

“She reported that on the fifteen of September sometime around ten p.m., her home was visited by two male persons known to her. At the time, her common-law husband was not at home and during the process, those two persons proceeded to rape her. As a result of police investigation, we have since arrested and charged Luis Sanchez, a fifty-five years Guatemalan of Esperanza Village for the crime of rape and we are seeking one other person in connection with this investigation.”
