Pomona Villager Attacked and Raped in Broad Daylight

A fifty-two-year-old woman was violently attacked and raped in broad daylight while at her house. On Wednesday, Dangriga police were called to the Southern Regional Hospital where they saw the woman with injuries to her face. The victim told police that she was at home in Pomona Village doing laundry when a man who she does not know attacked and raped her. Head of the National Crimes Investigation Branch ACP Joseph Myvett provided details of the incident.

“She reported to them that whilst at her home in Pomona Village doing laundry in her back yard sometime after eleven a.m. she was approached by a tall dark complexion male person who demanded money from her and forced her into her home where he allegedly raped her. So far the police do not have any suspect and this is an ongoing investigation.”
