“Muse” is Richard Holder’s latest photo exhibition. The display ranging from fashion to nude feature photographs, were taken in the past three months especially for the show.
Richard Holder, Photographer
“Muse is a source of inspiration. For me, muse is experiencing things, seeing sights, that I extract inspiration from.
I have no preconceived ideas of what I’m going to shoot. When I hit the streets, which I think would probably be the most Belizean of my stuff, because it’s real. I don’t try to influence what I find out there much, I just try to catch it and compose it as quickly as I could before I lose it.”
There are over thirty photographs on display, all taken in black and white. Holder says he finds that medium more interesting to work with than colour.

“I like the simplicity of black and white. To me, I find it’s more surreal, it transports me more into my imagination, makes me think more.”
The exhibition will run until May thirtieth and all the pieces are for sale. Jacqueline Woods reporting for News Five.
