U.S. national charged with attempted murder
A U.S. national who was charged for last week’s attempted robbery of San Hill Gas Station Grocery Store is in more trouble tonight and is now facing a string of additional charges. On Monday the book was thrown at eighteen year old Nathaniel Bowen Jr. and he was slapped with twelve new charges: three counts of attempted murder, three counts of use of deadly means of harm, one count of aggravated assault, two counts of dangerous harm, two counts of attempted robbery and one count of harm when he appeared before Magistrate Margaret McKenzie. No plea was taken from Bowen and he was remanded into custody until June twelfth. Police believe Bowen was involved in the attempted robbery of the grocery store located at miles sixteen and a half on the Northern Highway. On May sixth, Jing Wang told police that her father, Bow Tang Wang, was held up by two armed young men who posed as customers. Jing says that while her father was about to serve the men, one pulled out a black pistol and pointed it at him. She immediately escaped to the storeroom in the back of the building to retrieve their licensed gun. But when she returned, she found her father and two customers seriously injured.
