A Marijuana Haul Near the Corozal Free Zone
Twenty-three pounds of marijuana were discovered on Wednesday just outside of the Commercial Free Zone in Corozal. The quantity was found inside a brown wrapping, away from the outer fence and when police opened the packages the observed that it appeared to be cannabis.

“Border police were called to an area outside the perimeter fence of the northern free zone yesterday where they retrieved a brown in color package which when opened contained suspected cannabis and when weighed amounted to some twenty-three pounds. No one was found in the area and the drugs were deposited as found property.”
