Taiwan donates $500,000 to Belize
Taiwan has donated half a million dollars to the Government of Belize. According to a government issued press release, today, Ambassador Charles Tsai presented a cheque valued at five hundred thousand Belize dollars to Prime Minister Said Musa. G.O.B. says the money comes through an agreement between the Republic of China and Central American countries, to improve the respective Foreign Ministries. The donation will be divided and used in three areas: foreign trade, investment and tourism. Belize signed into this agreement at the eighth Conference of Foreign Ministries in 2000.
