Erlin Archiaga Found Not Guilty of Murder
In the local courts, Honduran National, Elrin Archiaga has been found not guilty of murder by Belmopan’s Supreme Court Justice Antoinette Moore. Archiaga, who stood trial for the murder of Nigel Neal Tillett, was represented by Attorney Leroy Bradley Junior. The trial commenced on September twenty-first and ended on October fifth. During the trial three witnesses were called, however, the trio all gave a different description and appearance of the gunman. In her ruling, Justice Moore also pointed out that the identification parade was flawed. The crown was represented by counsels, Sharaigne Rodriguez and Natasha Mohammed. Tillett was fatally shot on September sixth, 2013 to the abdomen, arm, face and hip while in front of his mother’s house on Progress Avenue in Roaring Creek Village. At the time it was reported that Tillett was ambushed after visiting the police station in Belmopan.
