American-Belizean Determined to get education despite genetic disorder

And to end the news tonight, we have an inspirational story about American-Belizean, eleven-year-old Max Castillo who is not letting anything stop him from receiving a proper education. For Max, who lives in Chicago, going to school can be hazardous to his health. His genetic disorders and allergies make attending middle school nearly impossible. But administrators found a high-tech solution to bring him into the classroom. Castillo’s determination to get an education by any means necessary was featured on N.B.C. Chicago News on Wednesday.

Max is the son of Ted and Alya Castillo who migrated to the U.S.A. in the 1990’s. He is the grandson of Doctor Alvaro and Dorla Rosado.
