The “Crackhead” Comment Read Across the Country
On Tuesday night, a post appeared on the Facebook of DPM Patrick Faber. The status was posted at nine-twenty-eight p.m. and read “Crackheads say and do the darnest of things!” The post was deleted minutes after, but Facebook users had their fingers ready and the status was ‘screenshotted’ and widely circulated. Those who have been following the political drama within the U.D.P. agree on who it was referencing. Today, Faber denied ever putting up the post on his own account.
Patrick Faber, Deputy Prime Minister
“Well, I don’t know what kind of post you are talking about. I am just going to skip over that part.”
Reporter
“Sir I have to ask you bluntly, are you denying that after the news aired on Tuesday night, your Facebook page had a post saying ‘crack heads say and do the strangest things”. I have a screen shot.”
Patrick Faber
“If you are saying so, I have seen records on that put on that people are attributing to me. I did no such post. But also I don’t know what that has to do with anything here? What would a post like that have to do with anything here.”
Andrea Polanco
“So that wasn’t your page that it was on”
Patrick Faber
“Didn’t you hear me say just now….”
Andrea Polanco
“So it wasn’t your page?”
Patrick Faber
“I did not make any such post. But I am telling you, you are threading in very dangerous waters when you are trying to tie all of that in together and I am going nowhere there.”
Reporter
“So it is a very unusual post for a Deputy Prime Minister to make.”
Patrick Faber
“Oh you are insisting that I made it. It’s best that you don’t ask me then because you seem to have your mind made up already. Both of you have asked me and you insist. Anyways, I’ll leave it there.”
