Severed Head is not Missing Businessman’s; Still No Traces of Omero Campos
Since his abduction from a cattle ranch on Father’s Day, there has been no sign or trace of businessman Omero Campos. The San Narciso resident was taken from his farm near San Victor Village on June sixteenth and is believed to have been held hostage by someone or a group of persons who demanded the payment of a hefty ransom in crypto-currency. That request for payment in return for his release has not been met and Campos’ whereabouts and status remains undetermined. Despite his mysterious disappearance, a photograph was circulating online since the beginning of the week. The image shows the decapitated head claiming to be that of Campos. But the police department said on Thursday that the photo was not authenticated. Here’s what Assistant Superintendent Alejandro Cowo had to say on that matter.

“I have seen that video there, I know that the wife has been interviewed again. She had mentioned that she had seen that video or those photographs even before I was aware of and she confirmed that that is not her husband.”

“So at this time, how are police trying to follow up on Mr. Campos’ disappearance?”
ASP Alejandro Cowo
“We are still waiting for any leads, or any leads that come the police follow them up. There have been several [leads] that people were trying to collect a ransom. The police had followed that couple months ago, but nothing did materialize. Up to now we do not have a specific idea as to where he can be or if he’s still alive or whether he’s dead or not.”
