Four days missing at sea, 2 men rescued
The sweet water may have been flowing this afternoon at Double Run, but two men lost at sea since Friday night would have given almost anything for a single gallon. Gerald Thomas Junior and his cousin Gregory Martinez were found safe and sound Tuesday evening in the Gulf of Honduras. The pair, who departed Glover’s Reef in a twenty-five foot skiff, were rescued by a group of Honduran fishermen. They were taken to Hunting Caye and returned home to Dangriga this morning. According to family members, the men survived four days and nights at sea by drinking dirty rainwater that accumulated in the hull of their boat.
