Foetus found in Cayo
The body of a human foetus was found this morning in the garbage dump off the Western Highway in Cayo. Around three this afternoon an attendant at the dump, located between San Ignacio and Benque Viejo, discovered the premature baby as a bulldozer was levelling a load of refuse. The lifeless foetus, believed to be around six months from conception, was taken to the San Ignacio Hospital. Officials suspect that the unborn child was tossed into the garbage following an abortion.
