Lumber yard robbed at gunpoint
Shortly after two this afternoon, three gunmen held up Loskot Hardware and Furniture at number thirty St. Jude Street in Belize City. Manager Gaudencio Pott says when the men entered the compound, they pretended to be interested in buying lumber, but when he turned to tend to a customer, one of the men placed a gun to his back and demanded money.

“They just came and ask for lumber. I told them go and check at the back with my assistant. By that time, the gentleman that was here to check for plywood went outside to reverse him vehicle inside to load his plywood and didn’t even notice what was taking place. They placed two guns, one in my back and the next one to my head. I was asked to kneel down inside the office and they proceeded to take out all the papers I have.”
The men rode off on their bicycles with an undisclosed amount of cash. The police as yet have no suspects.
