Dr. Carla Barnett Quitting Politics after Sunday’s Defeat

According to Doctor Carla Barnett, the results of Sunday’s convention mark the end of her political path. While she is leaving politics, Barnett hopes that other women would run for office.

“That goes without saying. I am not doing this again. You asked me Friday when we talked, whether not I was playing the game the right way. Maybe it is that I was not playing the right way because it is clear that if you play a clean game it is just difficult. I am stepping aside. I am not doing this again. But I would hope that at some point it becomes a way of doing it that women are able to pay the game on an even field because that is what it is it. It is not an even field. There are no rules to the game so to speak.”
