Safiyyah has the safe spots to be entertained this weekend

There’s a lack of large public activities for the weekend because of the Influenza A H1N1 scare, but there’s no need to be bored. Safiyyah has some tips to stay safe and some ideas for indoor fun.

Hey I’m Safiyyah and this is what’s happening Belize?

Well there’s no denying that everyone is in a bit of a frenzy over the outbreak of the swine flu. Most public activities have been canceled or postponed. There are a few, however, that will go on. If you plan to attend any of those activities, I have a few tips for you:

If you are feeling sick, don’t go out in public.
If you see some one that may be sick try to keep a safe distance.
Wash your hands more often than usual and try not to touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
And, make sure you are up to date on the latest information available about the virus before you make any decisions to go out.

If you decide to stay home, there are plenty of things that you and you friends can take part in. you can have a movie marathon with new or old dvd movies or you can have a game night with board games or a fun game of charades. There is a wide variety of things to do for fun like storytelling, cooking, drawing, karaoke, or just some quality time, especially with Mother’s day on Sunday.

Well that’s all I have for now, next week I’ll have some recommendations of movies that you might enjoy. Have a wonderful mother’s day to all you hard working mother’s out there, especially my mom.

Bye!
