140 youths to benefit from jobs training
One hundred and forty unemployed youths will soon get a chance to learn some marketable skills. This is thanks to an arrangement by the Ministry of Education to provide scholarships for apprenticeship training at a private facility in Ladyville. According to a ministry press release, the Tubal Training Institute at mile ten on the Northern Highway will provide six months of theory and practical instruction in seven craft areas. These include auto mechanics, welding, masonry, carpentry, electrical wiring, plumbing and computer skills. The scholarships are valued at two hundred and forty dollars each and are open to both men and women between the ages of fourteen and twenty-eight. Applications can be picked up prior to April first at the institute at mile ten. Further information is available from education CEO Dorian Barrow.
