John McAfee ‘Liable’ For Gregory Faull’s Death
The infamous John McAfee is back in the news tonight. He has been found legally “liable” for the death of his neighbor, Gregory Faull. A Florida court on Thursday handed down a default judgment against McAfee as part of a five-year legal battle by Faull’s family against McAfee. Faull was found dead with gunshot wound to the head in his San Pedro residence in 2012. Local police were unable to question McAfee as he fled the country after the American national was found murdered. Despite the criminal investigation stalling in Belize, a civil case was later brought against McAfee by Faull’s relatives. According to online reports, McAfee did not appear to have engaged with the legal process based on “a striking lack of legal filings made by him in the case.” A bench trial has been scheduled for January 2019 to determine what damages McAfee will have to pay. Faull was shot and killed in November 2012.
