Body Fished Out of New River, Orange Walk

Reports emerging from Orange Walk are that a body was fished out of the New River this afternoon along the Orange Walk Bypass road. The official identity of the man has not been shared with the press but we understand that foul play is not suspected. There is also the suspicion that the body is that of forty-two-year-old Nerry Montenegro of August Pine Ridge who was reported missing by his mother on Tuesday. Nerry was last seen on Sunday. Hermina Montenegro told News Five that she has since been contacted by police and is waiting for Orange Walk investigators to take her to identify the body. She also explained that Nerry suffers from epilepsy and had experienced several attacks in the past few days. Hermina shared that Nerry would constantly leave his home and in search of a more interesting life. She also said that her son battled with alcohol addiction.
