Missing Orange Walk Man Found Alive

The man believed to have been found dead along the New River is alive. Forty-two-year-old Nerry Montenegro is at home in August Pine Ridge Village tonight after being missing for some four days. His mother, Hermina Montenegro, reported Nerry missing on Tuesday. She told police that her son went missing on November twenty-fifth. It was feared that he was dead after a body of a middle-aged Hispanic man was found on Wednesday afternoon. The family believed that the body, which had the two arms missing and the face and abdomen disfigured, was that of Nerry. On Thursday night, Orange Walk police contacted Hermina and told her that her son was alive. She told News Five that Nerry had been locked up.
