Milt Palacio traded to Phoenix
For fans of Belizean-American Milt Palacio, it’s time to put away those Boston Celtics jerseys and go shopping in the sun, the Phoenix Sun that is. On Wednesday, the NBA point guard was part of a five-player deal between Boston and the Phoenix Suns. When the season started it looked like Palacio was finally going to enjoy some stability in his young career, having signed a two-year deal with Boston. But once again Milt finds himself in all too familiar situation: winding up on a team in disarray, where losses outnumber wins, and where there is a bona-fide superstar playing in front of him. Now it will be up to him to prove yet again that he belongs, this time as back up to Phoenix’s Stephon Marbury. Palacio took a step in the right direction last night, contributing six points in eleven minutes to help his new squad defeat the Memphis Grizzlies seventy-eight to seventy-two.
