Gunshot rips through woman’s house
Another Belize City resident is counting herself lucky tonight after a stray gunshot threatened the life of herself and her children. According to Cafara Bennett of number six Mayflower Street, around 4:30 this morning, a bullet slammed through the back wall of her home, bounced off a bedroom wall, went through to the bathroom, broke her bathroom mirror and ended up in one of the beams of a back room. Bennett believes the magic bullet hailed from a police patrol, but up to newstime tonight, the department was not able to respond to our inquiries.
