Thieves hit Romac’s for groceries and cash

But as the business community gears up for a shut down, one of their own is still trying to ascertain the damage to their pockets. Romac’s supermarket on Albert Street was closed for a short time this morning after an overnight burglary left the store in disarray. Up to newstime tonight, the store’s management say they do not know what all was stolen, but a number of grocery items and an undisclosed amount of cash are missing. The crime took place between Sunday night and Monday morning, but we understand there were no signs of forced entry to the building. According to a Romac’s spokesman, so far their investigations have yet to determine whether it was an inside job or not.
