Maim in Saint Margaret’s Village; Jose Ical Loses Left Hand
Also on the crime blotter…There was a chopping incident in Saint Margaret’s Village on the Hummingbird Highway. Jose Ical was maimed and his left hand amputated above the wrist following a dispute at a bar in the village. Ical and a friend were injured as three men waylaid them outside the bar. According to Assistant Superintendent Alejandro Cowo, police are looking for three persons in connection with this crime.

“Belmopan police visited the Western Regional Hospital where they saw one Jose Ical, a forty-one-year-old farmer of Saint Margaret’s Village, with his left arm amputated. Initial investigations reveal that Jose Ical was socializing at Cynthia’s Bar when he had a dispute whilst leaving the bar with three male persons; one of them attacked him and chopped him causing that injury to him. Likewise he was in the company of another male person who was likewise injured. Both of them are admitted at the Belmopan hospital, one with an amputated arm and the next one with minor injuries to his body.”
