Adam Meighan Charged for Rape of U.S. National

There are a few more details about the rape and robbery of a forty-nine-year old U.S. national in Ladyville. The victim, who is a student, reported to police that on Thursday morning at around nine o’clock the woman was sexually assaulted by a man as she was about to get into her vehicle. After she was allegedly raped, the woman claims she was robbed of over eight thousand dollars in cash by a man who was armed with a machete. There is also a report that she was assaulted five weeks earlier, but in both occasions the U.S. Embassy has not been involved. Today, Police say that thirty-one-year-old Adam Meighan has been charged for the crime.

A struggle ensued between them where the male person knocked her down and allegedly had sexual intercourse against her will and thereafter made away with eight thousand two hundred dollars Belize currency that she had in her possession. We believe that she has an idea who is the attacker and reference to that, I know that a male person was detained and I believe that an identification parade has been conducted already. That male person has been charged.”
