Mennonite man crushed to death in O.W.
On Tuesday afternoon, two men were clearing trees on Indian Creek Road in the Orange Walk District when tragedy struck. Thirty-two year old William Braun and twenty-three year old John Peters, two Mennonite men from Indian Creek Village, were on a tractor towing a tree when it accidentally hit an apparently rotten tree. The tree fell on Peters, who was rushed to the Orange Walk Hospital. However, Peters succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival. A post-mortem examination revealed that he died of a ruptured spleen and liver.
