Hubert Taylor is Charged for Marco Ack’s Murder
Twenty-six-year-old Hubert Taylor, a resident of Dangriga, has been charged for murder. His arrest and arraignment follows a deadly attack on the Southern Highway on Monday morning when he reportedly stabbed a motorist with a knife to the right side of the chest. Sometime around nine o’clock, Marcos Ack, who was headed towards Independence Village, picked up Taylor along the stretch of road near Red Bank. The hitchhiker got into Ack’s pickup and the two men continued their journey. But before they could reach their destination a knife was produced and Taylor demanded money from the Good Samaritan. When Ack failed to hand over any cash, Taylor allegedly inflicted a single stab wound to the driver’s upper body, fatally wounding him. Taylor then purportedly alighted the vehicle and fled the scene, but didn’t get far. He was picked up by police who happened to be in the vicinity. Earlier today, the labourer was arraigned on a single count of murder.
