Man Busted with .45 Firearm

A man is in police custody and facing firearm offences. He is thirty-seven-year-old Marvin Monge and according to police, he was busted with a handgun at a checkpoint early this morning. Police had set up a routine checkpoint at the junction of Monkey River and the Southern Highway when they intercepted a James Bus. Police reportedly found the weapon among Monge’s belongings.

“Police found a point forty five pistol along with ammunition and other items inside of a kitbag. The male person was identified to be Marvin Monge, a twenty-seven-year-old Belizean. He is presently detained and will be charged for kept prohibited firearm and ammunition. The origin of the weapon is something police is tracking at this moment.”
