Iverson Neal Found Alive and Well Outside of the Garden City
The saga of Iverson Neal who went missing from Belize City on December eleventh, has come to a positive end. The twenty-three-year-old was found alive near the outskirts of Belmopan on Saturday afternoon sometime around four p.m., by someone who spotted him just outside of the city. That individual wasted no time in apprehending Neal and quickly contacted the police department. While the KBH security guard has since been reunited with his family, there are concerns about his overall health and mental state. News Five understands that he was taken to a doctor earlier today for a medical evaluation. Assistant Superintendent Alejandro Cowo detailed his successful recovery.

“Reference the several persons that were reported missing over the weekend, police were able to locate two of the male persons. The first one was located on Saturday in Belmopan. That was the person of Iverson Neal. He was found sometime in the evening in the outskirts of Belmopan by a concerned citizen, who thereafter handed him over to the police. Police noticed that Mr. Neal was dehydrated and was going through some kind of delusion and he was taken to the hospital, where thereafter family members arrived and he was handed over to the family. We have not had an opportunity to speak to him because I know that he was taken to seek medical attention this morning. We had also issued missing persons posters within the country so I guess somebody already knew that he was reported missing, you know.”

“Now sir, the police took a lot of criticism from the family suggesting that your information was incorrect. Do you all see this as vindication of the investigation efforts you all had pursued which suggested that the gentleman was still alive?”
ASP Alejandro Cowo
“Well, what the family comments, I know it’s because of what they are going through and they want to know where their loved one is and anybody would react like that. And we do not take anything personal, if that is their comment, that is their comment. We know that we are doing our investigation and that from the beginning I told them that the way the investigation was being conducted that we knew or had that feeling that he was still alive.”
