The Philip Willoughby 7-a-Side Football Tournament
U.D.P. Standard Bearer for Port Loyola, Philip Willoughby is organizing a first-of-its-kind football tournament on New Year’s Day. Dubbed the Philip Willoughby Seven-a-Side Football Marathon, it is open to the entire public, but particularly those football enthusiasts in the area to come out and participate. Football teams are invited to come out and register on that day and compete to win seven hundred and five-hundred and twenty-five dollars for first and second prize, respectively. Willoughby says he wants to start off the New Year with a positive bang for the division.

“Not limited to just the football aspect of it, but I take the opportunity to invite out all the football enthusiasts, all football players, football supports; come out and get involved get engaged in something positive for the new year and let’s start off the year with a bang—but a peaceful bang at that. I’d like to encourage and invite out all the entrepreneurs who are in the food business to come out and see what could be generated from the day’s event. And I intend to continue doing these types and other events to bring out the community so that they can engage and make economic progress somewhat.”
