Rosita Armstrong is Knocked Down and Killed

The family of Rosita Armstrong is tonight mourning her death. The sixty-six-year-old Ladyville resident was knocked down and killed at around seven-thirty on Sunday night. The incident happened between miles twelve and thirteen, near the Los Lagos Community, on the Philip Goldson Highway. The person who hit her is Winston Bud who has been served with a notice of intended prosecution. According to ASP Alejandro Cowo, Armstrong was walking almost in the middle of the road when she was knocked down.

“Upon arrival they observed a blue in color vehicle in the middle of the road and also beside it, about six feet away from the vehicle was the motionless body of a female who was identified as Rosita Armstrong. Information that the police gathered so far is that the driver of the vehicle Mr. Winston Bud was driving from Burrell Boom towards Belize City and upon reach that area he knocked down this female who was walking almost on the middle of the road. The lady died on the spot and as a result he was issued a notice of intended prosecution.”

“Yes, urine samples were taken from him and also he was issued with an N.I.P.”

“Sir, anything to indicate that Rosita Armstrong may have been under the influence of alcohol?”

“What we understand is that she was visiting a friend from miles thirteen and she left from there towards Ladyville where she lives, she was walking, but she was not under the influence.”

“Is there anything to indicate from family members from the victim if she may have been suffering from some kind of mental disorder? Because if she was indeed walking in the middle of the road, that is not something that a normal person would do.”
