The Brothers Sho are Charged for Hacking Guatemalan Farmer to Death in Bladen
A trio of siblings, all farmers from Bladen Village in southern Belize, has been charged with the murder of Guatemalan national Marcos Chen. The forty-one-year-old was chopped to death on the evening of December fourteenth during an altercation with brothers Dario, Edres, Heraldo and Elijah Sho. Chen was reportedly walking along the Southern Highway near miles fifty-two and fifty-three, on his way to go fishing at the nearby Bladen River, when he encountered the group of men.
During the ensuing altercation with the farmer, the Sho brothers allegedly inflicted multiple chop wounds to Chen’s head, arms and feet. One of the siblings was also injured and was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital where he remained under police guard. Following the deadly chopping incident, three of the brothers absconded from the village and were being sought by police. Earlier today, they were charged jointly for the crime of murder.
